Why are Obama fundraisers closed to the media?

After Obama adds a dose of estrogen to ABC's The View today, he will head to New York to attend two expensive fundraisers for the DNC.

From the AP:

Ahead of Elections, Obama Ramps up his Fundraising

In this article, we learn Obama gave a speech at a sandwich shop in New Jersey in an effort "to tout a lending initiative aimed at small businesses". What are the odds that bits of sandwiches wound up on the floor in the form of regurgitants while he gave the speech? But that's not the question I want to ask.

In the piece, we learn this:

"The fall campaign boils down to a choice between those who want to keep moving forward and those that want to take us back to the policies that got us into this mess," said White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer. "The president will help make that case across the country."

His making his case worked well in places like New Jersey, Virginia, and let's not forget Massachusetts. Is our economic situation better now than it was then? But that's not my question.

Here's what interests me:

Wednesday's fundraisers in New York are closed to the media, as was a similar event Tuesday night in Washington.

Closing fundraisers to the media is nothing new and I have no problem with it. It does leave me with a few questions, though.

Who are the rich people attending these fundraisers and how much money will it cost them to avoid the new taxes from the expiration of the Bush tax cuts?

Will Obama rehash his San Francisco speech about bitter clingers and will he expound on that to include racist healthcare repealers?

And finally, how many times will the real racists in the room cheer when they hear the word "racist" countless times to refer to the RNC, Republican candidates, and the Tea Party?
