Owner Attacked By Zhu Zhu Pet Pit Bull
Ziggy Manfredini, owner of three real pit bulls, has lived with the breed his entire life, but he has never seen one as unpredictable and ferocious as the Zhu Zhu one he ordered custom-made directly from the factory. Last week Manfredini was nearly killed when 'Windpipe', the only Zhu Zhu pit bull ever made, turned on him and tore a large gash just centimeters from his jugular vein.
Manfredini recounted his early days with Windpipe:
"At first he made me proud to be a tough guy," a heavily-bandaged Manfredini murmured from his hospital bed. "He was boss from the beginning. When he came in the house, the other three pit's immediately gave ground to him. He tore the Zhu Zhu Boy and Girl I bought with him to shreds within a few days, but I could see he wasn't satisfied with his toughness. I'd leave him out in the rain and not feed him for a few days at a time to help him get tougher. You gotta do that if you want to be a tough dog owner and have proud dogs."
Windpipe was immediately placed in custody of Animal Control until Zhu Zhu technicians arrive to dismantle him circuit by circuit.
Still Manfredini feels for his Windpipe, the name given by Zhu Zhu to the pit bull the company designed after Manfredini hesitantly promised to never allow it near children or other adults. Like most dog lovers, Ziggy couldn't resist the temptation to let Windpipe have some freedom. "I admit the promise only lasted three days, but I felt he needed some fresh air and exercise chasing the neighborhood kids."
"I never even had any complaints from the people in the park when he'd nearly short circuit from foamy mouth after growling at them and other dogs. Even the kids in the neighborhood never said a word when he'd chase them to the fence after they got their ball out of my yard. I'm really stumped as to why he would attack me. It's normal for pit's to attack kids and other strangers, but not their owners. "
Several friends of Manfredini were there to see him fight back what they describe as a 'crazy, insane' dog attack.
"Windpipe just snapped when Ziggy said 'Zhu Zhu'. They both gave as good as they got, though. You gotta remember. He teaches his dogs everything he knows about being tough so they ain't got anything on old Zig. He ain't afraid of dog teeth, either. The only thing that kept Windpipe in the fight was the Lithium Ion batteries Zhu Zhu sent with him. You can't ever blame the dog." described Wing, Ziggy's best friend who lost an arm in an incident involving another one of Ziggy's dogs last year.
When asked what might have happened to turn Windpipe's usual playful ferocious behavior into full-blown rage, Manfredini could only guess. "It had to be a malfunction because they just don't attack owners like that. Maybe the ferocity chip they put in him got hot or maybe it malfunctioned when I said 'Zhu Zhu'. I'm gonna blame Zhu Zhu for this one. Once my attorney is done with them, I'll probably own the very first Zhu Zhu lion. This is not the first time I had to blame somebody else. Last time it was that old lady across the street who provoked one of my real pits into taking her down."
The Zhu Zhu company could not be reached for comment.

I am the producer of the Zhu Zhu Zoom fan club and I am confused. Did this man get attacked by a dog or a zhu zhu pet? And if it was the zhu zhu pet how could it attack?

Hi Hannah,
This is purely satire. Nothing like this occurred.
